Two major sources of Manpower supply can be broadly classified as Internal and External Manpower supply. These can be discussed as follows:

Selection process may be different for various organisation and different positions.the main objective of the selection process is to extract the maximum information from the candidate which helps in analyzing the suitability of a candidate for a particular job. However a standard selection process will go on as follows:

• Scrutiny of Job Application:
• Selection tests: Achievement test, Intelligence test, Personality test, Aptitude test, Interest test.
• Interview: Preliminary, Stress, Patterned, Depth Interview.
